When using the performance
actions, you are strictly prohibited from performing the music of any
third parties. You may record and upload your performance and hereby
agree to license such recordings to us for use by Square Enix or others
in accordance with the terms of the “FINAL FANTASY XIV Material Usage
License.”
Following the implementation of performance actions, the FINAL FANTASY XIV Material Usage License has been updated. Review the FINAL FANTASY Material Usage License.
Edit: I did check further into the ToS under the Material Usage License, which does state that the main themes, Answers, Dragonsong and Revolutions does not come under that. Therefore, I removed the versions of Answers and Dragonsong that I had up. Other music from XIV is acceptable however.
I hate to be that person… but isn’t this exactly what SE and Yoshi-P told us NOT to do? They said not to play any copywrited music that isn’t owned by FFXIV or SE… Please people, don’t do this an end up having us lose the performance skills.
Playing around with the new perform feature, got the beginning of Equilibrium – timing is still a little off. This is
music from FFXIV and/or SE, so can be recorded and uploaded.
“The sigh of the shifting sea… The kiss of the salt-sweet breeze… The white of her silken dress, stained in red…”
