The sense of entitlement that so many roleplayers seem to have on tumblr. Not just in the FFXIV community, but in general.

Just because my character tends to be sexually promiscuous does not mean you are entitled to get him in your bed. Just because I tend to be sexually active doesn’t mean I owe you anything. Presuming that you’re entitled to something of a sexual nature with me just because I am a sexual creature is disgusting.

Calling people whores because they get something you apparently want is disgusting.

Just like there are dozens, if not hundreds of characters out there who are very sexy characters. They wear revealing outfits. They flirt. They’re generally of a friendly nature. Is that an invitation for sex?

No. Unless they flat out say they want to have sex with you, you should not expect them to have sex with you.

I remember I even had in her search info that she was heavily pregnant and a guy STILL felt entitled to erp with her. ‘She’s not interested dude, she’s got swollen ankles, back back and wouldn’t fuck some stranger highlander anyway.’

Right. So I took a look at the TOS, esp on this issue, and it seems they’re missing a large part of it and only highlighting a big ol’ scary chunk of Legalese.

There’s a bunch of key words in here that look an awful lot like “Oh no! They’re going to steal my stuff!” This is Not the case. They’ve left out the first paragraph of this and if you take a lovely little look, it says that you are the owner of your content. There’s also a little bit that says you’re responsible for your own media consumption and if something nasty is in your chat, they’re not liable. 

TL:DR?

Discord is not taking your art or personal content. It’s still alllllllll yours.

To be fair, don’t most of those translate to “we can resize it to fit the chat client and save it as message history”? That’s not dissimilar to most social media sites’ TOS.
